Serpent API

apiserpent.com / pay as you go

Serpent API is the budget end of this set: no subscription, one-time deposits that permanently lock a rate, and a list price of $0.03/1K Google web searches once you have deposited $500 - one to two orders of magnitude below the proxy platforms. You can start with no deposit at $0.60/1K, still cheaper than most, and 10 free lifetime calls are enough to smoke-test but not to evaluate. Two catches a buyer should price in: the deep discount applies mainly to web and news search, while images and video only fall from $0.60/1K to $0.42/1K at Scale, and Maps is quoted per call at $0.015 (a 25x multiplier over web search); and the tier gate is a one-time deposit, so the real entry cost of the headline rate is $100 or $500 up front. The payAsYouGoTiers entries are deposit-gated rather than volume-gated, so minUnits and maxUnits are null on the two discounted rows. No SLA, uptime figure, engine list beyond Google/YouTube-style endpoints, or annual discount is published.

Every published plan

Plan Price Included requests Overage each Note
Default $0 per month 0 $0.0006 No deposit required. Google deep and quick web search at $0.60/1K. 10 free lifetime calls, standard support.
Growth $0 per month 0 $0.0001 Unlocked by a one-time $100 deposit, which is the effective minimum spend for this rate. Google web search $0.06/1K (10x off). Faster SERP responses with priority queue access, email support.
Scale $0 per month 0 $0.0000 Unlocked by a one-time $500 deposit. Google web search $0.03/1K (20x off). Top paid priority; free-allowance calls are served first.

Multipliers are the ratio of each endpoint's published Default-tier rate to the Default web-search rate of $0.60/1K. News Search is $0.20/1K (0.333x), Image Search and Video Search are $0.60/1K (1x), and Maps Deep is quoted per call at $0.015 in the standard band, which is $15/1K or 25x web search. Shopping and Bing are not on the pricing page. Note the discounts are not uniform across endpoints: web search drops 10x at Growth and 20x at Scale, news drops the same, but images and video drop only to $0.54/1K and $0.42/1K, so the vertical multipliers widen sharply at the higher deposit tiers.
